Biopics

The thing with biopics, most of these people’s tragic or happiest moments in their lives get glamorized and intensified but fail to capture the essence of who and what lives they truly led. There is always a heightened sense of mystery in my head and I am left to wonder if these moments really happened in their lives. Especially with this film, I feel as though it has exploited Sylvia’s death. For those that don’t know about Sylvia is that she is a wonderful poet whose intensity was overlooked until the end of her life. I think Gwyneth Paltrow does a wonderful job, which is based on the images and performance as Sylvia Plath and how they’ve been stuck in my head for quite some time. The first few stills I enjoyed a lot because the way her hands look when she was talking. I hope you enjoy my favorite stills from the film.
